Applications for the 2026 Keyboard Masterclass will open in August


The Process

Who can apply?

The Keyboard Masterclass is open to all high school and university/college students. See eligible pieces below.

How to apply?

All applicants must submit a preliminary video performance of a solo similar in nature to the works below. Up to three soloists will be selected for the masterclass. If selected, you will perform the piece at the 2026 masterclass. New or previously recorded videos are welcome.

One high school and two university/college applicants will be selected to participate in the masterclass.

Suggested Repertoire:

  • Time for Marimba by Minoru Miki
  • Dances of Earth and Fire by Peter Klatzow
  • Velocities by Joseph Schwantner
  • Two Movements by Toshimitsu Tanaka
  • Khan Variations by Alejandro Viñao

Other works similar in nature are allowed for both the application and PASIC Masterclass.


Participation Details

PAS Membership

All applicants must be current members of the Percussive Arts Society through November 30, 2026. Applicants can join PAS, or renew their membership here.

All applicants must be registered to attend PASIC51 in order to apply for the Keyboard Masterclass. Applicants can register for PASIC51 here.
