The Walnut Grove Percussion Ensemble is a proud part of the Walnut Grove High School Band Program in Prosper ISD, located in Prosper, Texas. Since the school’s opening in 2023, the program has rapidly developed a tradition of musical excellence through its commitment to artistic achievement, student leadership, and educational opportunity. The Walnut Grove Percussion Ensemble has quickly established itself on the national stage. The ensemble was selected to perform at the 2026 Music for All Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, earned first- and second-place honors in the Black Swamp Percussion Large Ensemble Competition in 2025 and 2026, won the 2026 Texas Virtual Percussion Competition, and was most recently named a winner of the 2026 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition. The Walnut Grove Percussion Ensemble is directed by Lindsay Vasko with assistance from Johnny Naw and Benjamin Waddill. The ensemble is honored to perform at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention and is grateful for the opportunity to share music alongside so many outstanding artists and ensembles.
