Royse City High School
The Royse City Percussion Program is a comprehensive 6–12 percussion studio within the Royse City ISD Band Program, serving students across Ouida Baley Middle School, Bobby Summers Middle School, and Royse City High School. The Royse City High School Band consists of over 250 students, with more than 30 percussionists performing in marching band, concert ensembles, chamber ensembles, and solo performance.
The Royse City Band has been recognized as a NAMM “Best Community for Music Education” program since 2019, reflecting a sustained district-wide commitment to excellence in music education. Within this framework, the percussion program has earned consistent recognition at the regional, state, and national levels through UIL success, All-Region and All-State representation, and distinguished individual and ensemble achievements. In 2026, the Royse City Percussion Program was selected as a winner of the Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition and was invited to present a showcase concert at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC).
The Royse City Percussion Program is under the direction of Connor Pickle and Jordan Ferguson.
