The Holmes Percussion Duo, founded by brothers Cody and Ben Holmes, is a dynamic and innovative ensemble redefining the boundaries of modern percussion. This session features a performance and presentation of original percussion duo works by composers and performers Cody Holmes and Benjamin Holmes. The program highlights a diverse body of recently composed duos exploring rhythm, timbre, gesture, and musical narrative through a variety of percussion setups and techniques.

Each work will be presented alongside visual aids (slideshow/projection) that provide insight into the compositional process. By pairing live performance with contextual commentary, the session offers both an engaging concert experience and a practical look into contemporary percussion duo writing from the perspective of active composer-performers.
