The Heritage percussion program was established with the opening of Heritage High School in 2009. Heritage Percussion has enjoyed a great degree of success in recent years, including winning the 5A percussion caption at the 2025 Plano East Marching Invitational, outstanding snare line at the 2025 North Texas Drumline Contest, a 1st place finish and outstanding tenor line and front ensemble at the 2024 North Texas Drumline Contest, outstanding tenor line at the 2023 NTDL, outstanding snare line at the 2023 Lewisville Drumline Invitational, outstanding percussion at the 2023 McKinney Marching Invitational, consistent success in the All Region audition process, and a 1st place finish in the 2025 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition resulting in a showcase performance at PASIC50 in November 2025.

The Heritage percussion program is under the direction of Alan Brawdy, assisted by Duane Long. The Heritage band program is under the direction of Jason Prasifka.
