Central Michigan University Percussion Ensemble
Under the direction of Dr. Marco Schirripa, the Central Michigan University Percussion Ensemble carries a rich history of excellence through its nearly 50 years. The Ensemble’s 16-24 members include students majoring in Music Performance, Music Education, Composition, BA/BS in Music, Commercial Music, and Music Minors. In addition to their three curricular concerts per year, the CMUPE regularly engages in interdisciplinary collaborations and appears at festivals and concert series, including one PASIC IPEC Showcase Concert. They have premiered major works by composers such as David Gillingham, Michael Colgrass, Von Hansen, and David Maslanka, among others.
