Enso Sounds & Healing Arts
Dr. Arin Levy, (they/them) is a percussionist based in Denver, active in the field of sound meditation. Playing over 50 performances each year around the nation, Arin enjoys touring and sharing the sounds of gongs and other meditative instruments with as many people as possible. Pre-Pandemic, Dr. Levy’s career focused on performing and teaching percussion at all levels, including roles at The University of Alabama, Eastern Kentucky University, and Carmel High School (IN).
Arin has since shifted to practicing sonic meditations through their self-led business, Enso Sounds & Healing Arts, which focuses on mindful listening through sound baths, movement, and meditation. Although no longer active in academia, education remains a staple in Arin’s life, with a focus on teaching sonic meditation techniques. With influences like Pauline Oliveros, Levy views music as healing and a space for reflection. Music, like laughter, can be the best medicine.
Community Sonic Meditations & Sound Bath
Session Description:
Join us for a transformative exploration of sound using instruments beloved in yoga studios worldwide—16 gongs, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, Koshi chimes, and more. As sound baths and “sound healing” gain global momentum, this session bridges those practices with the world of percussion, offering tools for engaging communities through collaborative sonic meditations.
In the first half, take part in an interactive workshop with group activities that spark creativity and musical improvisation. Bring a handheld instrument, borrow one, or use your voice! Together we’ll practice Sonic Meditations inspired by Pauline Oliveros’ deep listening principles, exploring how they foster connection and mindfulness.
The second half features a micro–sound bath performance led by Dr. Arin Levy. Though shorter than a traditional sound bath, this immersive experience will leave you relaxed, rejuvenated, and inspired—a soothing interlude amid the vibrant energy of PASIC.
