Matthieu Benigno, Alexandre Esperet, and Antoine Noyer, Ceci n’est pas une balle

Session Description:

Ceci n'est pas une balle ("This is not a ball") is a choreographed work for three performers with a pre-recorded audio track. The piece is centered around an imaginary ball, which the performers manipulate throughout. The ball goes through several magical transformations: suddenly appearing out of thin air, being cracked like an egg, and even being blown to pieces. The audio track for this piece contains several recognizable musical quotes, including Handel's Hallelujah Chorus, Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, and Rage Against the Machine's New Millennium Homes.
