Ensemble Skills that Transcend the Marching Arts
Session Description:
This clinic dives into the essential elements of ensemble performance, through the scoop of front ensemble. Drawing from my experiences as both an educator and performer, l discuss elements to focus on during rehearsals and performances to encourage self-awareness, adaptability, and deliberate decision-making from the entire ensemble. This clinic will be presented through the lease of front ensemble, but will showcase how the skills learned in this setting can be much more universal to all ensemble playing and performance. The principles discussed in this session will be applicable to both performers and educators and aim to build a stronger foundation for ensemble excellence.
