
Murray Piper
Murray S. Piper, noted Performer, Instructor, Clinician, and Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University Peabody Institute. Piper is the founder and director of Passionate Drumming & Music Lessons, which was driven from his early passion for drums. Piper received his B.S. music degree with a concentration in instrumentalists from Morgan State University. Piper has been teaching drums/percussion since 2004. Piper has performed for 3 Presidents and Vice Presidents of the United States of America. Piper is also a teaching artist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Orchkids & Arts Everyday program in Baltimore, MD. Piper has led percussion programs for the University of Maryland Baltimore County dance department. Piper is currently a proud drumset committee member of the Percussive Arts Society. Piper is extraordinary in all styles of music. Piper is an Emmy Nominated drummer for his outstanding role in the Stage Musical “Oh Gospel” The Evolution of Gospel Music.
