ABOUT Rob Mitzner

New York-based drummer Rob Mitzner has recorded for Billboard Top-10 charting albums, films, and Broadway shows and recently appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers as the guest drummer with the 8G Band. He is the author of the Amazon best-selling book Drumming in a Band: Stuff You Can Use (Hudson Music) and his credits include over 60 albums across many styles. This musical versatility has allowed Rob to play nearly 200 live shows per year throughout the world, including jazz, rock, pop, hip-hop, country and R&B, gracing the stages from Lincoln Center to Caesars Palace. He has been featured as both a player and a writer in publications such as Downbeat MagazineModern Drummer and Drumeo and proudly endorses Paiste, Vic Firth, Remo, Low Boy Custom Beaters and Drumdots. He has served as a guest lecturer at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute and Albright College and does masterclasses throughout the country on how to play in a band with other people and make the music feel great. When he’s not performing, Rob runs C-Room Studio in Brooklyn where he records tracks, writes articles for music publications and drinks way too much coffee.
