SESSION 2 TITLE: Healthy Life as a Percussionist

Fabian Ziegler has already commissioned an impressive number of new works for percussion instruments and has thus already achieved one of the goals of his still young career. He is passionate about bringing innovative pieces by renowned composers such as John Psathas, Avner Dorman, Serj Tankian, Arash Safaian and Daniel Schnyder to life. As numerous prizes and awards prove, Fabian Ziegler always offers his audiences something very special. In recent concert seasons, he has given solo concerts and orchestral debuts at the Tonhalle Zurich, the Berliner Philharmonie, Sejong Chamber Hall Seoul, the Cologne Philharmonie, the Essen Philharmonie, the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the KKL Lucerne, the Kulturcasino Bern, the Tonhalle St. Gallen, the Lincoln Center in New York City and many other concert halls worldwide. In 2024 more debuts all over the world will take place, including tours in Asia, USA and Europe. 

Born in Switzerland, he studied with Prof. Klaus Schwärzler, Prof. Raphael Christen, Prof. Benjamin Forster, Prof. Rainer Seegers and Martin Grubinger at the Zurich University of the Arts. Together with the new company Infinity Percussion, which specializes in mallets, Fabian Ziegler develops outstanding products and is responsible for his own vibraphone series. He is an endorser for Adams Percussion and Meinl Percussion.
