Adam Tan is a marimba soloist, composer and content creator based in Perth (Boorloo), Australia. Adam is most known for making online content about percussion with over 45,000 followers and 10 million views across all platforms. 

Adam has performed and presented hundreds of performances and classes to live audiences in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, and the United States, as well as online audiences in Argentina, Honduras and the United Kingdom. As a composer, Adam’s works for percussion are performed regularly around the world and appear on repertoire lists for schools, competitions and festivals, including the UIL Texas Prescribed Music List (PML). Adam is also the director of Marimbafest Australia, an organisation that has curated 5 Marimbafest international marimba festival and competitions between 2019 and 2024 under Adam’s leadership, and has operated his own company, the percussion studio and retailer THE STUDIO By Adam Tan in Perth (Boorloo) since 2016. Adam was also invited by Ju Percussion Group as a VIP Guest to the Taiwan International Percussion Convention (TIPC) in 2023. 

Adam is a Premier Artist of Marimba One, a Signature Artist of Encore Mallets and Salyers Percussion with the Encore Mallets Adam Tan series, an artist endorser of Black Swamp Percussion, composer with Edition Svitzer, artist with Soundbrenner, designer of ‘THE TRAVELLER by Adam Tan’, a percussion backpack in collaboration with HAOSEN and an Associate Artist with the Australian Music Centre.
