This challenging yet idiomatic solo for 5-octave marimba will hopefully become a staple in intermediate to advanced repertoire. Heavily influenced by the music of Béla Bartok, the composer uses geometric proportion, bridge form, synthetic scales, and other techniques to create an original work that pays tribute to one of the masters.
