“Triptichon” reminds me of pedagogical works for percussion ensemble by such composers as Jared Spears and Lynn Glassock. The piece is written in three sections, the first using melodic material reminiscent of old Nintendo games — perhaps Mario marching to victory after defeating Bowser.
