The composer of the popular “Eight on 3 and Nine on 2” has come up with another intricate, rudimental-based percussion duo, this time for snare drum and bass drum. While it is written for rope snare drum and rope bass drum, it can be performed on non-rope drums, provided the drum tuning is low enough to capture the original spirit and intent of the piece.
