If I took a poll of conductors asking them who were the outstanding composers of large symphonic works for percussion ensemble (referred to by some as “percussion orchestra”), chances are the name David Gillingham would come up a lot! Lucky for us, this prolific composer continues to reward the percussion world with beautiful works.
