I’m not surprised that vibraphonist Gary Burton has written such a fine autobiography. Before I was set to interview him in the 1980s for a Modern Percussionist cover story, drummer Bob Moses told me, “You’ll love interviewing Gary. He’s so articulate you won’t have to do any editing.”
