Four4 is a CD that has only one track that lasts 72 minutes. In the liner notes, one discovers that Four4 is part of a bigger project named “Number Pieces,” which occupied John Cage’s time between 1987 and 1992 and were developed thanks to a new writing software created by Andrew Culver, Cage’s long-time assistant.
