Earl Hatch’s classic two-mallet solo “Furioso and Valse” gets a major revamp in Claudio Santangelo’s arrangement for four mallets. This new approach, performed by Santangelo on the publisher’s web page, provides another opportunity for the intermediate-to-advanced marimbist to flaunt his or her technical prowess while also reminiscing on a well-known staple of the solo marimba canon.
