This collection of percussion solos by composer David Macbride is performed by Joseph Van Hassel with sensitivity and grace. The album begins with a snare solo, “Fallen,” which is likely very engaging to watch performed live, but contains a lot of space that doesn’t translate to an audio-only recording.
