John Riley’s style is firmly rooted in bebop, his career is definitely eclectic, moving from the University of North Texas to Woody Herman’s big band, followed by gigs and recordings with artists such as Marvin Hamlish, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz and Miles Davis.
