Triolet
Triolet members, Kristie Ibrahim (Schulich School of Music of McGill University), Gina Ryan (Université du Québec à Montréal) and Victoria Sparks (University of Manitoba), are each performers and educators in their own right. Celebrating the spirit of connection and collaboration generated through Canadian Percussion Network events, this ensemble came together to develop new opportunities for professional chamber performances. Creating community across distances in Canada, Triolet endeavors to explore chamber music when members live in cities more than 1400mi (2200km!) apart. Triolet challenges the notions of what is possible through remote rehearsals, aiming to forge a new path by removing the barrier of distance for chamber musicians. Balancing online workshops with focused rehearsal time together whenever possible, the trio pioneers creative approaches to musical productivity. Triolet is delighted to share the next phase of their work outside of Canada at PASIC 2025.
