Iúri Oliveira
The new solo album by eclectic percussionist and composer Iúri Oliveira. One of the most sophisticated musicians of his generation and a driving force behind much national and international music released in recent years.
With the mind and spirit of a sound designer, the musician stands out for his innovative approach based on his own sounds which are rich in comprehensive techniques, leading him to work with musicians and composers from different musical genres, from many parts of the world, and also with directors on soundtracks for films.
He is currently working on “Manifesto”, a solo album where he undertakes a deep and authentic immersion in wood, leather and steel instruments, without resorting to loops or other electronic devices.
Eclectic, authentic and dedicated, Iúri Oliveira puts all his passion and focus at the service of music, tracing a vibrant path full of colours and textures.

Hybrid Percussion Approach
Session Description:
Hybrid Percussion is a whole new world to discover and explore.
When projects, artists or bands don’t need a drummer but rather an infinite world of sound created with percussion, the range of options becomes almost infinite.
Here we explore “percussion thinking” for new techniques and sounds:
how to create percussion kits, what a percussionist needs to know, percussion techniques, rhythmic cell priorities, grooves–these are the questions I will answer.
But the most important thing is to always serve the music.
