SIGN UP FOR THE UPC WORKSHOP!

The University Pedagogy Committee promotes and enhances the exploration, improvement, elevation, and facilitation of the craft of percussion at every level of college teaching. The Pedagogy Workshop aims to attract, learn from, develop, collaborate, and foster new strategies in percussion pedagogy. The workshop will provide opportunities for networking as well as professional development. Individuals can apply to P.O.P.P., participate in hands-on small group discussions, and partake in mock interviews.

The UPC Workshop will be limited to 50 participants.
The workshop is available for any PASIC 2024 attendees for no additional fees.

MOCK JOB INTERVIEW

The mock job interviews will provide pre-tenured university faculty members – including part-time and adjunct faculty members – and doctoral candidates with the opportunity to test their interviewing skills.

Ten mock job interview applicants will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Applicants must have an active PAS Membership and be registered for PASIC 2024.

PRESENTATIONS ON PERCUSSION PEDAGOGY (P.O.P.P.)

P.O.P.P. will provide pre-tenured university faculty members – including part-time and adjunct faculty members – and doctoral candidates with the opportunity to present research.

Applications to P.O.P.P. are limited to pre-tenured faculty and graduate students. Eligible individuals may apply to present a 10-minute session on a wide array of pedagogical topics. At the conclusion of the day, there will be an informal Q&A about presentations as well as networking opportunities. Applicants must have an active PAS Membership and be registered for PASIC 2024.

Selected presenters will have access to a projector and projector screen. Any other equipment needed for the presentation is the responsibility of the presenter.
