DW Soundworks™ adds the DW Collector’s Series® Pure Cherry Shell expansion pack to its growing range of drum samples.
Cherry is a very musical wood that produces brighter attack, melodic clarity, and slightly darker tonality when compared to maple. These sounds appeal to drummers who prefer a punchy, rounder timbre for dynamic styles like fusion, funk, gospel, and pop.
In the DW Collector’s Series Pure Cherry Shell Expansion Pack, all the sonic qualities of the DW Collector’s Series Pure Cherry drums have been recorded in the DW factory in hi-fidelity. The drum sounds have been sampled at 24-bit, 88.2kHz, and the expansion pack includes 12 custom presets to enable users to explore the sought-after sound of cherry shells, which have heavy midrange tone with balanced sustain.
DW has designed DW Soundworks™ to deliver a powerful software solution that puts drummers in control of their sound. The DW Soundworks™ Design Series Acrylic Shell Expansion Pack Cuts Through!
The newest DW Soundworks™ expansion pack from Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW) is the Design Series Acrylic shells, great for punk, hardcore, or metal music genres.
In the Design Series Acrylic shell Expansion pack, all the tonal elements of the Design Series Acrylic kit have been faithfully captured in the DW factory with sounds sampled in high fidelity. This new sample collection features all the bright, clean attack, focused tone, controlled sustain, and oversized live sound acrylic drums are known for. The new expansion pack makes it easy to punch up music tracks with a big, boomy backbeat.
It can be explored with twelve custom presets to fit any playing style and includes a range of mic selections to give producers and drummers even more control over their sound.

SABIAN Introduces Jeff Hamilton inspired 21” Hammertone Ride and 15” Hammertone Hats
SABIAN is proud to announce the release of the 21” HH Hammertone Ride and 15” Hammerton Hats.
Developed in collaboration with SABIAN artist, Jeff Hamilton, and the artisans at SABIAN, the 21” Hammertone Ride and 15” Hammertone Hats address Jeff’s desire to have cymbals in the Hammertone collection suitable for playing in larger ensembles.
“For a while Jeff had mentioned to me he felt a ride which would have enough volume, cut, and penetration for large ensembles would round out the HH Hammertone ride collection. This was a request we have also received from drummers around the world.”, says SABIAN’s Global Artist Relations Director, Christian Stankee. Christian further says, “Jeff also suggested us creating some 15” hats to accompany the ride. So, it was clear this was an idea for cymbals that drummers really wanted.”
Created to provide excellent ride and crash properties for Hamilton, who does not use a standard crash cymbal in his set-up, the 21” HH Hammertone Ride was designed to provide a versatile option for big band work featuring added volume and crashability, while the tapered edge delivers a balanced warm spread and enhanced articulation when played with a heavier stick.
“The 15” HH Hammertone Hats are all about that perfect mix of warmth and sizzle. The thin top and medium bottom give them a really nice wash, and they’ve got the dynamic range you need for bigger ensembles while still nailing that classic jazz vibe,” says SABIAN’s Director of Research and Development, Randy Ross, who worked directly with Jeff to make these cymbals.

The Toca Everpour Rainsticks redefine the rainstick experience with their exceptional duration and resonance. The 24-inch models produce mesmerizing rainfall effects lasting for over 30 seconds, while the 48-inch models create immersive, cascading rain sounds for more than 60 seconds.
Honoring the rainstick’s Chilean origins, the Everpour Rainsticks feature intricate, hand-painted designs designs that celebrate the country’s traditions and natural beauty. The Cueca models showcase a woman in traditional Chilean dress, paying homage to the vibrant Cueca dance. The Huesa models highlight a man in the iconic Chilean cowboy attire, celebrating the rural huaso heritage.
