Italy Percussion Competitions – 2024

180 soloists and 30 ensembles participated in the contest organized online by the Italy Percussive Arts Society

Two online competitions organized by the Italy Percussive Arts Society took place in 2024: the Italy Percussion Competition (soloists and composers) and the 7th edition of the Percussion Arts Web Contest (from Duo to Ensemble). The event, organized by Antonio Santangelo (President of Italy PAS) and Claudio Santangelo (Artistic Director) is considered one of the most important worldwide. Antonio Santangelo has dedicated himself to organizing, promoting and supporting the many percussionist students from all over the world. This edition was also fantastic, says the Artistic Director Claudio Santangelo, it was hard work on our part and on the part of the 46 artists of the Juries. It was not easy to identify the winners, due to the high level of execution in both contests.
