Nathan Daughtrey has created an outstanding work for large percussion ensemble, marked by many of his typical compositional traits (cascading runs in the keyboards, overlapping swells/arpeggios, polyrhythms and hemiolas) but taken to a higher level of difficulty for the ensemble and individual players, and thereby also creating a higher quality compositional statement.
