Renewal notices (paper and/or email) are sent out starting two months prior to your expiration date. You can also see your membership expiration date by logging into “My Account” on the PAS website and clicking on your membership card.
YES! When you complete your membership online, you will have the option of clicking the “Auto-renew” checkbox on the payment page. Your membership will auto-renew annually on the anniversary date of your initial payment (e.g., if you join on January 15th, your membership will be automatically renewed one year later on January 15th).
You will receive email notifications prior to your auto-renewal date. Should you choose to cancel your auto-renewal prior to the next payment being processed, you can either submit the cancellation form under “My Account” in your PAS profile, or email membership@pas.org.
PAS does not provide physical membership cards. However, if you wish to download your card for display on a smart device, or print out your own copy, please go to “My Account” on the PAS website and click on “Request Member Card”. You will be emailed a digital version of your card.
PAS no longer tracks Member ID numbers and there are no forms that would require this information.
YES. For members in the USA, even if you file a forwarding order with the U.S. Postal Service, publications will not be forwarded to you, because they are not sent at the First-class rate. For all other members, the policies and procedures of the postal services in all other countries are extremely varied. Therefore, if you notify PAS when your address changes, this decreases the chances of missing publications.
You can updated your address online by logging into “My Account” on the PAS website. You may also notify us of an address change by sending an email to membership@pas.org, or calling 317-974-4488.
Yes. If you would like to be associated with a chapter other than the one that you are automatically assigned to (based on your address), you can change that online under “My Account”. This is especially beneficial to students who may be attending university in a chapter other than their home address, or if you live a place without an active chapter, but close to an active one. You may also request a chapter change by sending an email to membership@pas.org, or calling 317-974-4488.
Yes. You will need to file a claim within two months of the publication date. Email membership@pas.org in order to claim a damaged/missing issue.
Our magazines are in excellent condition when they are handed off to the Postal Service for mailing. Unfortunately, once they are in the mail system, PAS has no control over how the magazines are handled (or mishandled). If damaged publications are an ongoing issue, please file a complaint with your local Post Office about the poor condition in which your magazines are being delivered.
Sometimes there is a delay in the updating of an expired or new membership, once the payment has been processed. This delay can last from a few minutes, up to the start of the next business day. If your access hasn’t been granted by the start of the next business day, please email membership@pas.org to notify us.
Usually the system responds very quickly. However, server-related delays do happen. If you find yourself waiting for more than an hour, please email membership@pas.org to request to have your password reset.
If you are approaching the time to renew your membership and you wish to change membership type for the next year (e.g., you’re now eligible for a senior discount, or wish to add a print subscription to DRUMSET Magazine to your membership), you can choose the appropriate options as you go through the online renewal form.
If you are subscribed to Auto-renewal for your membership, you will need to contact PAS regarding the changes you wish to make, prior to your automatic renewal date. Please reach out to us at membership@pas.org, or by calling 317-974-4488.
Yes, but there are certain guidelines. No refunds are available for memberships, so if you want to unsubscribe from a print subscription to DRUMSET Magazine for example, you can, but there will be no refund for the difference in subscription costs.
If you wish to add a print subscription to your membership mid-year, adding Percussive Notes for example, you will need to pay the difference ($60 in this case). You will also be responsible for any additional shipping costs for sending you back issues that are part of your subscription year, should that apply to your situation.
