This article provides information about a unique chromatic brass-rod metallophone donated to the Rhythm! Discovery Center by Emil Richards. The instrument features 49 solid brass rods arranged in a piano keyboard configuration and tuned to a chromatic scale. It is a one-of-a-kind piece with a sounding range from C4 to C8.
